Counselling, Psychotherapy & Supervision Online, by Telephone, Face to Face & Walk & Talk in Godalming & surrounding areas.
Confronting our demons and challenging experiences can be difficult, but with the support and encouragement counselling can offer you, the rewards can be great.
Counselling offers many benefits and often enables people to fulfil achievements that once alluded them.
My purpose as a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist is to support you on your voyage of emotional growth, development and healing that you may feel restored, empowered and resilient.
Most of us at some time in our lives will encounter difficult and challenging experiences: a change in relationship, job situation, family circumstances, relationship issues, or death of a loved one. Sometimes it is a gnawing sense of discontentment or incompleteness within ourselves yet not knowing why. We can find ourselves at a crossroads of self-doubt with an inability to find direction.
As adults, children and young people, most of us at some time in our lives will encounter difficult and challenging experiences: family breakdown, separation and divorce, a change in relationship, job situation, relationship issues, or death of a loved one. Sometimes it is a gnawing sense of discontentment or incompleteness within ourselves yet not knowing why. We can find ourselves at a crossroads of self-doubt with an inability to find direction.
Feelings such as confusion, depression, low self-esteem and isolation can manifest as anger and irritation, lacking motivation, struggling to find purpose and meaning in life, with a sense of no one understanding.
Counselling and psychotherapy offers you the opportunity to speak openly and honestly in a safe and confidential space, sharing those thoughts and feelings you may otherwise keep bottled up without fear of being judged, criticised or dismissed.
Counselling & Psychotherapy can help with:
Loss & bereavement
Feelings of abandonment & isolation
Separation & divorce
Abusive, harmful or destructive relationships
Confidence & self-esteem issues
Challenging & difficult relationships
Work & career related issues

“Claire is kind, professional and her style of challenging practice or interventions is non-judgemental and often happens without me realising.
I always learn something new about my work with clients and clinical practice. Claire encourages total honesty and congruence and creates a safe space for me to discuss my work and is honest and congruent in her approach. Her knowledge and experience of the therapeutic world is vast, which coupled with her warm approach make her an excellent supervisor.”
CF Aldershot (Supervisee)
“Claire was my supervisor when I was a student and latterly as a qualified counsellor. Her ability to create a collaborative relationship that felt safe, supportive and professionally challenging had a huge impact on my learning and development. I found Claire to be an ethical and very knowledgeable practitioner, offering a reflective supervision space, enabling me to explore my client work in a very open and honest way. She was never less than highly supportive of my growth as a counsellor and was generous in sharing her experience with me throughout our work together.”
RR Farnborough (Supervisee)
“I particularly appreciated Claire’s ability to be reflexive and work creatively … It helped me gain confidence, start trusting how I work as a counsellor, enabling me to be more transparent and ultimately learn the value of supervision. The formative aspect of the supervision had great value, providing essential understanding of the importance of working ethically. Claire doesn’t shy away from challenge or areas of difficulty, yet has a way of doing so that is both restorative and normative. I value Claire and her years of experience as a supervisor, there is much to be learnt from her.”
NH Witley (Supervisee)
“The greatest compliment that I can pay Claire is that she got someone who never talks about his feelings to open up and share them with a stranger. Claire was very clear about what I could expect from our sessions and she helped me to articulate how I felt, accept responsibility for that and decide myself on what I wanted to do. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who needs a sympathetic but objective and ear and help in sorting through the most personal of issues.”

“Being able to share my personal story and struggles while in treatment (chemotherapy) with Claire really did make the whole journey bearable. Whilst in treatment, you’re not always able to articulate why you feel a certain way. Claire helped me navigate the emotional struggles I was experiencing and always made me feel at ease. She listened and above all, made me feel that I was worth listening to. Thank you Claire for your encouragement, support and wisdom. I am glad I can still call on you today if I need to, you’ve become a great support in my life.”
JK Woking (Client)
“I quickly felt at ease and safe with Claire and could easily open up. Her ability to listen and recall conversations was remarkable and the counselling and techniques we discussed have helped me immensely. Within a short time span she was able to make a positive difference.”
