My Experience & Qualifications

Holding a Foundation degree in Counselling, a post-graduate diploma in supervision and a diploma in Working with Bereaved Children & Young People, my career includes private practice, establishing and developing a children and families counselling service for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice including group support and away days, recruitment and supervision of student counsellors and managing the counselling department at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

During my career, I have and continue to write and deliver a variety of workshops, both for the hospice, the acute and private sector (such as, Frimley Park Hospital, Royal County Surrey Hospital, The Fountain Centre, St Catherine's School, Bramley) on understanding the grieving child, supporting children and young people coping with loss, death, dying and bereavement in the school environment, families facing a significant loss, grief and what to expect, understanding & managing anxiety, supporting mental health in the workplace & foundation communication skills to name but a few. I have also written and presented numerous training packages, including counselling skills, communication skills, supporting good mental health in the workplace, identifying and supporting co-workers experiencing poor mental health and managing anger in the workplace. With a keen interest in mental health for young children and adolescents, I have also written and delivered support packages and face to face work within schools and colleges including mentoring workshops.

I am experienced in working with adjustment to illness, death, and dying, bereavement and complex grief, body image, sexuality, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, stress and anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship issues, divorce and separation, extramarital affairs, self-esteem and confidence issues, attachment issues, work-related issues and child-related issues.

In accordance with this, I am committed to ongoing clinical supervision and my own professional development and have attended and continue to attend a wide range of training and development to ensure my practice remains up to date, effective and ethical.

I am based in Godalming, Surrey, offering therapy across Godalming, Farnham, Haslemere, Chiddingfold, Guildford, Woking and surrounding areas.

Fees & availability

I offer day, evening and some weekend appointments depending on availability.

Individual Counselling: 60 minute session £60.00

Student Counsellors: 60 minute session £55.00

Child & Adolescent: up to 60 minutes per session £60.00

Supervision: One to One or Group Supervision, 60 minute session £60.00 or part there-of/divided by number in the group.
